Blue/White Combo Tees
An explanation of the "Blue-White Combo" Tees
For the interim, use an existing score card and circle the tees: 1, 2, 4, 8 on the front, and 11, 14, 15, 16 & 17 on the back. Those circled holes are played from the blue tees while the remaining 9 holes are played from the white tees.
The slope for the B/W combo tees is 130 with a course rating of 68.9.
A number of our summer time events include play from the combo tees, depending on player Index. For example, an index of 12.0 may be playing the combo tees in the Match Play Championship.
Lower handicap players (i.e. Indexes of 9 or less) may play the blue tees, and higher indexes (i.e., indexes of 15 or higher) may play the white tees. A rules sheet is published for each tournament that assigns tees by the entrant's current index.
NOTE: The NCGA has officially sanctioned the "Combo" Tees and has included it on the "Posting" page for updating GHIN scores. A new score card will be coming soon that includes the combo tees, along with course slope & rating for all tee sets.
